Wanted to let you know, momma used the bath tub lift today for the first time and she loved it.  She has rheumatoid arthritis and is very crippled with it all over her body and even in her lungs.  She has not been able to take a bath in over a year now and has had to take showers sitting on a stool.  Sitting in a tub of hot water has always made her feel better.  Thanks for making her Christmas!

Facing aging in the family

I talk regularly with clients that are suddenly dealing with aging parents, spouses, siblings and in some cases, children. These people are dealing with questions like, "How do I make the home safe from falling on stairs? How do I make it easier to bathe? How do I get the mobility scooter in and out of the van?"
I am finally starting to face these same aging issues in my own family. I'm starting to see aging in my and my wife's siblings. My parents, aunts and uncles all have been gone for decades and, at 64, I'm the youngest of five children.
One of my brother-in-laws recently ended his courageous battle with cancer. I installed a stair lift for him. He said he didn't really want the lift and resisted it for awhile. Once he started using the lift, he loved it. I also found a very light weight wheel chair so that my sister-in-law could get it in and out of the cars trunk when they went out.
One of my three sisters had surgery recently. During the surgery she experienced complications which seriously affected movement. I sent her a bath tub lift and she was reluctant to try it. Now she uses it regularly.

I bought a Deltis bath lift chair. I am extremely happy with it. I try to keep a normal life as an academic though I have both arthritis and balance problems so I had to stop using my hot tub, my bath and my shower that was over my bath. I just could not easily get out of the tub. I felt very vulnerable.

The bath chair has removed that vulnerability. I find it easy to have a bath. I enjoy different bath salts and a pleasure I previously enjoyed has been restored. I had explored a walk-in bath but the Deltis product has saved me $15,000 also with the walk-in I would have needed to empty the tub before getting out. I am so glad I found your product.

We've tried it once so far. It works as described.

The only drawback to the Bellavita bath lift is the feet prevent placing the unit completely back in the tub so the legroom is limited to some extent.  That makes the tub effectively shorter.

Except for that limitation, we are very satisfied.

Hi John,I actually just received the portable ramp yesterday...I ordered it not for a wheelchair...but for my 10-year-old Boxer, who's becoming paralyzed with Degenerative Myelopathy & my 9-year-old poodle/dachshund...who has two ACL issues in her back legs...the vet suggested a dog ramp for them, but this ramp is 30" wide instead of the typical 15"- 20" wide dog ramps & much sturdier...I easily put it together last night & will be teaching them to use it this week...I have it going from the patio door landing down to the patio, so they won't have to go up & down the 4 stairs...Thanks for the prompt order filling & shipping service...I'm sure it will be a good investment...I may try to put a carpet cover or something (?) on it, though, as the surface may be very abrasive for their paws...Best,Linda B Herriman, UT

The Bath Tub Lift got here in one day.... My wife LOVES it. Our tub has a course non-slip bottom. The chair works good  with that . The suction cups do not hold real firm, but the chair is stable. (use common sense) My wife sits on the bottom and tilts the back to her comfort. Getting out is easy. Raise the chair to the desired height, grab the handicap bar and get out. By the way, my wife is 81 years old and has several artificial joints and a bad back. I appreciate help and concern that you have shown. ...
